2016 Mrs Gertrud Adrian enters her well-deserved retirement after many years of successful work at our company. Her tasks as project manager have been taken over by Mrs Simone Wendt, certified translator for English and Spanish.

2015 Noelle Niederst, lawyer and Certified Association Executive, takes over the company as managing partner, in the third generation so to speak. After a short handover period, Frank Lanzillotta focuses on other challenges. He is still staying in amicable contact with the company and its staff.

In 2014 Klaudia Husak joins the team.

In 2013 Anna Conradi joins the Board of Management alongside Frank Lanzillotta, taking care of the day-to-day operational business.

We are very proud to be one of only five offices worldwide that GOOGLE has chosen for the new GOOGLE TRANSLATION MANAGER. This is an integrated marketplace where, at the touch of a button, millions of ANDROID developers can have their apps produced in any chosen combination of languages by professional translators.

In 2012 we once again expand our team and have the pleasure of welcoming Stephanie Hermann aboard. With this expansion, we are responding to the continuing, growing demand for professional specialist translation and first-class service.

Alongside project management Ms. Hermann also looks after our new Proofreading segment. As of now we provide transparently priced, professional proofreading of texts in all foreign languages and, of course, German as well.

In 2011, we have received ISO 9001 certification. We have been conforming to ISO since many years, and this is why we have taken the logical step of acquiring the confirmation of our working methodology from an officially accredited body.

Over and above this, we take pride in the fact that GOOGLE, the world’s largest search engine, has opted for enhancing its cooperation with us in the field of translating AdWords campaigns for its premium customers, a cooperation that was launched last year.

2010 One of the largest discounters in Germany expands its daily cooperation with us. Apart from more than 2,000 packaging text labels of its non-food products in 18 European languages, which we manage annually with the help of an online application developed by us, we are now preparing lipsync translations of the advertising clips for these products, in close cooperation with the production company and the recording studio.

2009 We significantly expand our charitable involvement to which the company founder himself was already committed and, for the first time, we are one of the official sponsors of the UNESCO Foundation – Education for Children in Need. For the UNESCO Benefit Gala we translate the entire Gala Book, the laudatory speeches and all marketing texts from invitations to admittance cards.

2008 Together with Markus Massísimo, Frank Lanzillotta lays the foundation of Lanzillotta Localizations, which specialises in Localisation and Global Content Management for vertical industries. Markus Massísimo, who founded his first localisation company in Paris in 1989 and headed up our localisation projects for Bull Computer and Baan from 1992, brings over 20 years of localisation experience to the company, as well as a worldwide network of contacts.

Being surrounded by marketing agencies in Düsseldorf has proved its value. Having already translated for years for large advertising agencies, we now also undertake the daily media monitoring for some of Germany’s biggest corporations – in both English and German.

2007 The company founder, Giuseppe Lanzillotta, sadly passes away. With his farsightedness, persistent optimism and his love of language, his legacy was to leave behind a company which is ideally placed in the market, entirely self-financed, and which stands at the cutting edge of technology – the perfect prerequisites for continued healthy growth.

2005 We establish Lanzillotta Translations UK in London. During our first year of operations in the United Kingdom, we acquire the press department of the British Fortune 500 company Johnson Controls as a client.

2004 We move to a large office directly overlooking the Rhine and expand our team in the areas of project management, desktop publishing and translation memory management. The company’s name is changed to “Lanzillotta Translations GmbH”. The company founder, Giuseppe Lanzillotta, retires from daily business and hands over the sole management to Frank Lanzillotta.

2003 L & P Lanzillotta GmbH is named by ERCO as its exclusive strategic partner for translations and multilingual DTP. A dedicated team of in-house project managers and 24 specialist translators and proofreaders in 10 countries delivers comprehensive solutions to ERCO, including the localisation of ERCO’s Light Scout, the company’s groundbreaking website (also see Projects).

2002 Frank Lanzillotta steps up the company’s modernisation and introduces a comprehensive management information system. The system, originally used in inventory management, is specially modified to suit our needs as a translation company and is unique in this regard.

2001 We found Lanzillotta Translations USA in Miami which brings us closer to our American clients and personnel. Bernard Carpenter, an experienced German-American, orients our offering to the needs of the American market.

1999 Frank Lanzillotta joins his father in managing the company which has meanwhile been renamed L & P Lanzillotta GmbH. During this phase his task, as a member of the next generation, is to get the company geared up for the multimedia society of the future.

1992 Lanzillotta & Partner starts localising IT products. Together with experienced partners in the localisation industry, we implement several large-scale software projects in up to 7 target languages, for clients such as Bull Computer.

1982 Deutsche Messe AG chooses Lanzillotta & Partner to publish the glossaries of universally known trade fairs (e.g. CeBIT and Hannover-Messe) every year in many different languages.

1980 Lanzillotta & Partner has established itself as a supplier of choice with numerous industrial enterprises in the greater Düsseldorf area. Our clients include Mannesmann Demag and the DSD Group.

1975 Giuseppe Lanzillotta, a certified translator, establishes the Lanzillotta & Partner translation office in Düsseldorf together with Heinz Goldschmidt, a mechanical engineer. The company is particularly characterised by its innovative technical equipment and modus operandi, which are constantly pointing the way ahead for the entire industry.
